2 Sweet and SwoonI loved this one Both MCs are carrying wounds physical as well as emotional and mental from their pasts The hero is a war veteran and the heroine survived a terrible crash that killed her parents Together they find in each other the pieces that heal their broken hearts This story was short but it packed a punch making an emotional connection along with plenty of steam Hero has been celibate for a while no mention of his past Heroine is a virgin No ow om drama No abuse or cheating HEA with epilogue and babies Wet u0026 Wild It s Raining Men 2 LOVED This is such a great story I loved the build Les and Mazie getting to know each other both with their own issues reluctant to be close to anyone because of their scars both seen and unseen Les is amazing Always worried questioning himself so much Mazie is sweet strong and had me fighting tears This is a great quick read an absolute must I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review Wet u0026 Wild It s Raining Men 2 Wonderful This was a nice quick short read I really enjoyed this book Les and Mazie met when he comes to Springs Florida Les has been wondering around trying to find himself after he served our country Mazie is alone she was in a terrible car accident which killed her parents and she was placed in foster care Les is given a ride into Springs and heads to the Carol s diner Mazie is there delivering her baked goods Carol sells for her When Mazie and Les notice one another they stare at each other she thinks he s staring at her scar on her face but he thinks of how beautiful she is Mazie leaves and Les heads out with Miles who he hitched a ride with Les tells Miles he ll grab a hotel and head out in the morning but finds out there s no hotels in Springs Les starts walking but Mazie pulls over to pick him up he doesn t want to get in her car but she insists Mazie tells Les she can take him to the next town over to get a hotel but then offers him her camper The next day Mazie makes breakfast and takes it to Les The begin talking about work that Les can do and Mazie asks him if he ll repair her home she just hasn t had the money for it Les agrees but Mazie insists she pay him something Les tells her that her letting him stay in her camper is payment Everyday Mazie fixes breakfast lunch and dinner three weeks go by and they get to know one another Mazie starts to feel a connection to Les and he feel she grounds him Mazie invite Les to watch a movie with her but he can t stop staring at her She asks him to tell her about himself and he tells her about his serving our county Les and several others were attached most were killed but him and several others were taken hosted and tortured Les is the only one who survived and was able to come home he never understood why They begin kissing but Les knows he s not good enough for Mazie so he leaves The next day they both avoid one another Mazie heads to town and goes to the grocery store and mets Serenity they become friends Les is home when Mazie arrives she heads to take a shower Les comes to find her standing in her bedroom in only a towel He asks her why she s avoiding him and she tells him she could asks him the same Mazie asks him about him inquiring about a rental property Les tells her he was thinking about staying in Springs Mazie tells him she needs to get dressed she doesn t want him to see her cry Les tells her he shouldn t want her but he does When Les steps closer to her Mazie backs away he tells her he likes Springs because of her Mazie tells him no one in this town has shown any interest in her and she hasn t noticed anyone until Les came along Les pulls her into his arms and starts kissing her she drops the towel she was clinging onto Les sits down on the bed and pulls her on top of him Then he is pleasuring her and they make love Les tells Mazie he is never letting her go once he has her she s his forever Mazie tells him she loves him Mazie wakes up alone she takes a shower then heads downstairs Mazie finds Les sitting on the deck and watching the ocean When Les sees Mazie he pulls her into his lap and starts to kiss her When he trails his hands up her back she asks him what if the people walking on the beach see them Les tells her all they ll see is him making love to his fianc Mazie asks him when did that happen Les tells her it happened last night when they made love Les asks Mazie if she wants a family with him and she tells him she does Eight months later Mazie is pregnant due any day she walks on the beach towards Les This was an emotionally charged romance than I expected and I couldn t be thrilled Mazie has suffered so much with the evidence spelled out in the scar on her face She is a lonely character but she yearns for a family Les carries the scars of his time in the service in less visible places They recognize the pain inside each other and that brings a level of trust into their relationship from the start L Nicole manages to pack a serious punch in a novella length story without sacrificing the plot I was so caught up in their story I didn t want to go to bed I hope the rest of this collaboration is as satisfying as Wet Wild Wet u0026 Wild It s Raining Men 2 Such a beautiful story Les is an military vet who is feeling lost since returning stateside He was captured and tortured by the enemy he has deep scars from his captivity both visible and invisible He has been going where his feet take him at a gas station he meets a trucker who is also a military vet from his actions and words Les find some comfort and someone who understands him The trucker gives him a ride to Spring Florida at a diner he sees Mazie for the first time Mazie is a survivor too she surviveded a horrible car accident that left her orphaned and scared She went into the foster care system until she aged out She returned to take over her parents house and her dad s beloved RV She supports herself by baking goods the restaurants and diners sell in town She sees Les and thinks he is the hottest guy she has ever seen her feelings overwhelm her and she hides her scared face and leaves the diner quickly She finds Les walking along side the road in the rain Being brave she stops and persuades him to get in her car and stay at her house for the night He reluctantly agrees and she takes him home He is horrified at how trusting she is he s worried that a beautiful woman like her alone someone could take advantage of her But Mazie is a true survivor and doesn t let the hard knocks of life stop her from living Her spirit is beautiful just like she is Les stays in the RV thinking to move on the next morning he is surprised that she has made breakfast for him They talk and he agrees to stay a while and as repayment he will help fix up her house It sat abandoned while she was in forster care Both want but are scared Les because of his inner demons and his past and Mazie because she is overweight and her scared face But Les doesn t see that he sees her as a beautiful woman That scares him and after kissing her he runs A few days later they talk again and this time Mazie bares her heart to him he thankfully doesn t run their first time together is so sweet Epilogue with three kids and them very happy together Wet u0026 Wild It s Raining Men 2 When Les returned from his tour overseas he realized that he no longer fit into the life he led before With that in mind he packed a backpack and hit the road walking until he found his purpose He didn t expect to find in a little town in an unexpectedly beautiful woman Mazie is scarred both inside and out from the accident that killed her parents She has returned home after living in foster care but hates the attention she receives for the scar on her face from the accident So she makes her way through life baking and selling her goods to the local diner and eateries When she decides to go out on a limb and offer her dad s old VW bus to Les she gets than she could have ever bargained for L Nicole does a wonderful job showing the disconnection that our vets face when returning home This story is both tragic and beautiful in its telling and you just root for both Les and Mazie from the very beginning because they are just amazing souls who are trying to get by in a world where they do not feel like they belong I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Wet u0026 Wild It s Raining Men 2 I was enthralled with this book Les and Mazie were each other missing piece These two not only have outward scares but also some deep emotional one too These two were perfect for each other The connection and chemistry between these two was soul deep I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend this book and Ms Lily aw an awesome author. I received a free e book copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review Wet u0026 Wild It s Raining Men 2 I liked this story It was interesting and entertaining The characters were enjoyable and likable Both Les and Mazie struck me as introverts who were then scarred emotionally and or physically by horrible and traumatic things that happened to them described anecdotally but not with lots of detail Les became a drifter because of his past in the military Mazie seemed to be like a hermit but she did go into town pretty regularly Les and Mazie met and were drawn to each other but both felt like the other person deserved better than them Les and Mazie spent a lot of time together which caused them to become closer I liked their happy ever after I recommend reading this book, I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Wet u0026 Wild It s Raining Men 2.
